University Leaders Visit Gongqing College of Science and Technology for Research and Meet Jointly-Trained Students

　 On the afternoon of March 12, Yuan Honglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, led a delegation to Gongqing College of Science and Technology for a symposium on the joint undergraduate training program and to meet the jointly-trained students. Ye Changlin, President of Gongqing College of Science and Technology, Zhang Jianrong, Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Vice President, and Ouyang Kang, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, attended thesymposium.

　 Yuan Honglin introduced the historical evolution, educational philosophy, and distinctive features of our university. He expressed the hope that both institutions would work together to ensure effective management of the first batch of jointly-trained undergraduates, establish a long-term communication and cooperation mechanism, further strengthen collaboration between the two universities, and jointly advance talent cultivation to a higherlevel.

　Ye Changlin extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the delegation. He stated his hope that the two universities would further expand cooperation channels and achieve more collaboration in teaching and research, internships and employment, and connotativedevelopment.

　Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on teaching practices and internship training for the jointly-trainedundergraduates.

　After the meeting, Yuan Honglin visited the classrooms, where he had a cordial exchange with the jointly-trained undergraduates, encouraging them to study hard and achieve success. The delegation also toured the Intelligent Manufacturing Training Center, the 360 Ship Handling Simulator Training Room, and otherfacilities.

　Representatives from the Graduate School, Admissions and Employment Office, School of Software and Internet of Things Engineering, and other departments of our university, as well as officials from the Employment Office, Student Affairs Office, School of Information Engineering, and other departments of Gongqing College of Science and Technology, attended the symposium and accompanied the delegation to meet thestudents.
